Living Local. Does Your Marketing Firm Practice What It Preaches?

So much of my business is predicated on "local" at the turn of this year I made it a high priority to invest a great deal of my own personal time into exploring the local environment. While the capacity to invest in local is applicable to every business, for me this was of particular importance as I had recently moved to the Boston area from Los Angeles. Beyond that I felt it was very important to take my own business outside of the theoretical and to infuse my practice with some hard-core local experience.

Every once and a while a new product or innovation comes out, and no matter what your business you always have to ask when is the right time to move forward with it. Google just formally rolled out their new +1 feature and as far as this product goes the answer for you is RIGHT NOW! To quote Google from their own video on this product:

"When you have lots of options in front of you it's easy to find yourself wishing for a bit of advice"
So I will say it again, my advice to you in this particular scenario is to install the +1 on your site immediately.

As Why Science is an education company we were very focused on creating custom landing pages that very clearly explained the company (and the movie) and then created additional custom pages in order to deliver more value to each new Facebook visitor.
