Speaking at the Boston WordPress MeetUp Tomorrow
I'm very pleased to share with you that tomorrow, March 28 I will be speaking before the Boston WordPress MeetUp Group as one of the presenters for the WordPress Framework Bake-Off.
The evening will showcase three distinct premium WordPress themes including Headway, Thesis, and an open-source theme called Suffusion. I'll be running the demo for the Headway Themes tutorial. I should also mention that the bake-off is not intended to be a competition rather the showcase of each of the themes and it should give everyone a very nice introduction into some of the strengths and weaknesses of each of these themes.
Twitter Turns 5
A big day in social media has today as Twitter turned five. Twitter for me in particular is been a very powerful social media platform, and one that has really provided me my entry point into the field of social media in general. I've personally had great fun using twitter, meeting people on twitter and discovering all kinds of interesting things with this platform. I'm also very appreciative of all that I have really learned as a result of using Twitter, both from the platform as well as from the user base.
LinkedIn Crosses 100,000,000 Users
LinkedIn has crossed a huge milestone in their growth - they just announced they currently have over 100 Million Users. Wow!

Twitter One A Day – Day 60!
One of the projects we launched at the beginning of the year was a new Twitter list called "One A Day" where every day we add a new Twitter account to follow each day.

Charlie Sheen Dominating Twitter
While we wouldn't normally talk about issues like Charlie Sheen in the news, as of yesterday the actor signed up for Twitter. You can find his account here: Charlie Sheen on Twitter. A day later his account is 'verified' and he has over a million people following him. Wow.

Livefyre Review
I've recently installed the Livefyre commenting system on the Gadarian Digital site, and I thought a review was in order. Before diving in, I should also mention that this commenting platform is still in private beta although I'm told that they should be launching the public version any minute now. They bill themselves as a real time commenting platform.
Google Chrome’s New Tab Features the Web App Store
Not sure how many of you use Chrome as your browser of choice (coincendtally we featured Chrome on our Twitter One A Day List yesterday) but I as of tonight when I opened up a new tab instead of the usual "most popular pages" being there instead I was met with an ad of sorts for Google. Specifically for Google Apps on the new Chome App Store.

Facebook Pictures on Your Page
About 10 days ago Facebook announced a major release regarding Pages. As you can imagine, that has been big news for me. Overall I'm very happy with what they've done and perhaps I'll make a separate post about it down the road. But one of the big changes is that much like in your personal profile, with your Facebook Page there is now a strip of photos above your wall.
